Drowning in the Wake is a heavy Nu-metal/ Hardcore band based out of council bluffs, Iowa. Experimenting with likes of , metal core, traditional and Alternative styles, their sound is sure to please just about any metal fan. formed in July of 2014, they have planted their feet firmly into the Omaha, Nebraska local music scene. Also, within the last year they have self-released their debut album entitled "Annotations." The members of the band are greatly influenced by both the "new wave" sound of the late 90's, early 2000's bands such as korn or slipknot for example while also inquiring the sounds of modern day bands like a day to remember, Trivium, etc.

Having gone through a couple line-up changes, they are still as solid as it gets by delivering an exquisite live performance filled with Tec style heavy bass, groovy guitar riffs blended with mixed vocal patterns. Currently the band is working on there new EP, TBA
